Afraid of going to the gym?

Are you afraid of going to the gym, or has it been a while since your last workout? If you answered yes to either question, then it's time to keep reading.

There's all kinds of information floating around about gym training, and much of it is biased or downright nonsense. There are still stories being told about how women will develop overly large muscles in just two weeks, how children and teenagers will stop growing if they touch a barbell, and other similar tales. Many are afraid to step through the doors of a gym because, according to social media, everyone who goes to the gym is in great shape and a muscular superhero. They have no idea what to do in the gym, and they assume others will laugh at them because they are out of shape and don't know what they're doing. The environment and culture seem too foreign to even attempt. On the other hand, it would be nice to feel a little better in everyday life and to look a bit more confident...

Weight training at the gym is one of the best forms of exercise when it comes to improving wellness or performance. Why is this? A well-equipped gym offers the opportunity to develop many different qualities that may be neglected or completely untrained in individual forms of exercise. At a gym, you can do, for example, strength training, endurance training and mobility training all in the same place.

The culture at gyms can vary greatly depending on the gym. At one gym, the music may be too loud and the weightlifters may be slapping each other on the back with magnesium powder flying everywhere, while at another gym, the dress code may be like going to a nightclub and a workout always includes at least a half-hour selfie session, and so on. Such extreme things may not feel like the right fit for everyone, so gyms and weights may need to be avoided for now.

Motivus is based on the idea that everyone has the opportunity to come to the gym as they are. We understand that the gym is not everyone's entire life and we do not believe it should be. Strength training is a good part of life and supports other possible hobbies excellently. Based on these principles, Motivus has been built as it is. Our staff shares these values and they are conveyed to our customers. The gym always has a good atmosphere, and the joy of exercise is felt miles away. Beginners are helped, and each of our customers finds a suitable way to exercise.
